2nd annual HDG Extreme Boat Dockin' & Riverfront Festival

The 2nd Annual Extreme Boat Docking & Riverfront Festival is a community-wide undertaking planned and conducted by residents and local business owners whose objective is to enhance the environment within the city of Havre de Grace, Maryland. This yearly event raises funds to support HDGinBloom, a committee under the Community Projects of Havre de Grace Inc, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit. HDGinBloom has been established to promote and maintain the beautification of Historic Havre de Grace’s public gardens and parks through citizen volunteerism. Each year we support The Lock House Museum and other non-profits in our community that have been established to educate, grow and preserve the heritage of Havre de Grace.
The Riverfront Festival committee, led by Theresa Ray, owner of Water Street Seafood and Josh Argentino, owner of Argentino Marine Sales, seeks to recognize and honor the Havre de Grace waterman’s heritage. With great enthusiasm, this year’s Waterfront Festival highlights traditional waterman activities to include an Extreme Boat Docking competition as the main event. Other events include a Dinghy Poker Run, Crab Races, an Oyster Shucking Contest and a chance to test your own skills at our Dock Whatcha Got event.
The success of this festival is largely dependent upon the support of our donors hence, the HDG Riverfront Festival committee is soliciting your tax-deductible support for this year’s festivities. We are grateful for a donation on any level, no amount is too small. Non-monetary donations such as competition prizes and promotional giveaways are also welcome. Volunteers to work at the event and community groups looking for service hours are needed and highly encouraged to reach out. All proceeds raised will be used to support the festival, the HDGinBloom initiative and other non-profits that support the community of Havre de Grace.

All donations must be received by August 31, 2026. Boat Sponsorships are due July 31, 2026.

With great enthusiasm, this year' s Riverfront festival highlights traditional waterman activities to include an Extreme Boat Docking competition as the main event. Other events include a Dinghy Poker Run, Crab Races Oyster Shucking Contest, and the Dock Whatcha Got event. There will be an after party with a captain Meet and Greet at one of our local restaurants to conclude the day's festivities.
